SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Police in central New York say they are investigating a homicide that occurred in the final minutes of 2012.
Authorities say a 30-year-old man was shot at least once while sitting in a sport utility vehicle in Syracuse about 11:30 p.m. Monday.
He was pronounced dead at a hospital a short time later. Police have withheld his name until they can notify his family.
The shooting happened in the 700-block of West Onondaga Street. Investigators have a partial description of the gunman and say he was wearing an orange hooded sweatshirt with a Syracuse University logo and the letter "C'' on it.
