HUD Offices Closing Temporarily as a Result of Spending Cuts

WASHINGTON - A nationwide closure of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) offices will take place on August 2, 2013, according to HUD.

HUD offices will close due to government-wide automatic spending cuts that took effect on March 1, 2013, according to HUD.

The closure is temporary, with HUD offices closing on August 2, 2013 and reopening on Monday, August 5, 2013 with its normal operations, according to HUD.

People who have business with HUD offices are encouraged to plan their visit accordingly.
