TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - An Arizona medical examiner has ruled that the death of a San Diego-area veterinarian in a car fire in Tucson was an accident.

A report from the Pima County Medical Examiner says 54-year-old Anthony Walter Patrick Basher was driving a friend's car while drunk on Nov. 9 and apparently became lost near the home where he was staying. The Arizona Daily Star reports in Saturday's editions that Basher turned into the wrong driveway and then drove the car off road, where it caught fire. He kept driving with the car on fire and it became completely engulfed in flames, killing him.

Basher had been working two days a week in Tucson. He was an eye specialist and previously treated animals at SeaWorld and the San Diego Zoo.
