Storms Knock Out Power to Hundreds of Thousands

UNDATED (AP) - Days of brutal heat in the northeast have been interrupted by some powerful storms and torrential rains that left fallen trees and power outages from Washington to New York.

Hundreds of thousands of customers lost electricity yesterday and a woman in Maryland died when a tree fell on her vehicle.

One person is missing from a boat off Long Island.
