RYE BROOK, N.Y. (AP) - Police say a Florida convention organizer
was found killed in an upscale hotel in suburban New York where he
had organized a meeting.

Rye Brook Chief of Police Gregory Austin said Monday that the beaten body of 53-year-old Ben Novack Jr. was found the day before at the Hilton Rye Town.

Police are asking for help from anyone with information about the killing.

Novack was from Fort Lauderdale and was president and CEO of
Convention Concepts Unlimited. He had organized a weekend convention in Rye Brook for about 1,200 Spanish-speaking businesspeople nationwide.

Company assistant Danica Parrott says Novack always attended
conventions he organized.

Parrott says Novack had a wife and grown children.
