POMONA, Calif. (AP) - A serial killer already sentenced to death for the six murders has admitted he killed two more women.
Ivan J. Hill pleaded guilty Friday in Pomona Superior Court to strangling Lorna Reed and Rhonda Jackson in 1986 and 1987, bringing his known body count to nine.
Judge Charles Horan sentenced him to additional life term in prison without possibility of parole.
Hill was convicted in 2007 of killing six women, mainly prostitutes, in 1993 and 1994.
He is known as the "60 Slayer" because he dumped the bodies of
his victims in cities along the 60 Freeway. Investigators linked Hill to the killings through DNA evidence more than a decade later.
