The following recalls have been announced because the products
may be contaminated with salmonella, an organism that can cause
serious and sometimes fatal infections, especially in young
children, the elderly and those with weakened immune systems:

The company said there have been no illnesses or injuries reported.

The following recalled product was sold through grocery outlets
and the internet in Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri and Kansas with
production dates before Feb. 2, 2009:
- Fancy Nut Topping 2 ounce Bag (Herman's Nut House); UPC 0
75049 00071 7; Purchased before March 6, 2009.
Fritz Company Inc. is recalling Fritzie Fresh Chocolate Peanuts.
The company said it has not received any consumer illness
complaints. The recall involves Fritzie Fresh Chocolate Peanuts;
8.0 ounce bags; UPC 076056 03820. The only packages concerned have
date codes of 08364. The products were shipped to retail locations
in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota
