BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - Officials in Yellowstone County, Mont., have removed four bodies from inside a mobile home that was destroyed by fire.
The Billings Gazette reports funeral home vans were waiting outside the home in Lockwood that burned early Thursday.
The fire was reported shortly 4 a.m. Firefighters put out the blaze, but officers obtained a search warrant before entering the home in the small town about five miles northeast of Billings.
Sheriff Mike Linder says its being treated as a crime scene unless the investigation proves otherwise.
Sheriff's Capt. Bill Michaelis declined to identify the victims or say how they died. Relatives and friends stood outside the taped-off property waiting for answers.
The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is participating in the investigation.
