WASHINGTON (AP) - A variety of interest groups are joining to send a public thank you note to lawmakers for expanding children's health insurance and urge them not to stop there.
The groups will spend more than $10 million in television and newspaper ads that thank 83 lawmakers for their support.
The ads will also say "Now's the time to guarantee quality affordable health care for all Americans."
The ad campaign shows that interest groups are anxious for lawmakers to focus on health care reform this year.
Several analysts say that the sooner lawmakers focus on health care, the better their chances of success.
The ads will appear on such cable outlets as CNN, MSNBC, Fox News and Comedy Central.
