LONE GROVE, Okla. (AP) - Emergency crews are back at work in Oklahoma, searching for any more victims of a cluster of tornadoes.
The twisters ripped across the state yesterday, killing at least eight people.
All of the fatalities were in Lone Grove, where one woman was found injured but alive under an overturned mobile home. Seven of the dead were residents; a truck driver passing through the area was the eighth.
One young woman was lifted into the air as a tornado pulled the roof off a house, but her mother and others held her down.
The National Guard has been called in to help. Oklahoma Gov. Brad Henry says officials will do everything they can to get storm victims the assistance they need.
