UPS Terminates 250 Employees After Colleague Is Fired

UPS fired 250 employees in Queens, MY after they walked off the job in support of a terminated fellow employee.

The protest took place in February and the employees were told they would be fired. Monday, 20 employees were terminated with a remaining 230 to be let go once replacements are trained.

The workers protested the firing of Jairo Reyes, a 24-year-employee and union activist.

Reyes got in a dispute with the company over the number of hours senior staff could work.
