Reno, Nev. - Bronx Pizzeria may have just opened its doors in February, but it already has a loyal following.
Jim Sanchez and Janice Melena come here at least once a week, giving the spot rave reviews.
"Just because everything is great," said Melena.
"Good food, very fresh, finest ingredients, the crust is awesome!" said Sanchez.
What makes it so delicious? Bronx Pizzeria owner David Nicol says they use a special pizza crust made from Napoli, Italy. It's made fresh here every day.
"We ferment the dough overnight, and we hand-spin it every day. And it's fresh, and it has a wonderful flavor, the yeast, oil and salt," said Nicol.
One more ingredient to top-off that combination - 18-year-veteran pizza chef Nicolas Valentino-Santill.
He knows how to make the perfect pizza. While good ingredients are the first step, there's more, he explains.
"You know, it's all about quickness, beautifulness, tastefulness," said Valentino-Santill.
But Nicol likes to help out in the kitchen, too, making some of Bronx Pizzeria's signature pasta dishes, including linguini with clams. Those pasta dishes mean more people are coming into Bronx Pizzeria for dinner lately.
"Our prices are friendly, our food is homemade," said Nicol.
They also have a wide selection of beers available, and they buy locally-made ingredients whenever possible.
