NEW YORK (AP) - Stock futures are rising with China saying industrial output has improved.
Dow Jones industrial futures are up 10 points to 13,145. The broader S&P futures have gained 2 points to 1,405.50. Nasdaq futures are up 5 points to 2,743.50.
Markets have been rattled for the past week on disconcerting data from China. China's premier on Thursday said that the country should meet its economic targets this year.
Wal-Mart posted a 5.7 percent in net income for the second quarter and boosted its outlook as well. But its stock slipped 3 percent after revenue fell short of expectations.
The U.S. is releasing data on housing and jobs later Thursday.
