ISLAMABAD (AP) - Police in Pakistan say two bombs that exploded a half hour apart in Islamabad have killed a security guard and wounded another person.

Police officer Chaudhry Abid says the first bomb exploded in a supermarket parking lot at about 2 a.m. Saturday, killing a guard and wounding a passerby.

Another police officer, Mohammad Shafqat, says the second bomb exploded outside another market about three miles away, breaking windows but wounding none.

Nobody immediately claimed responsibility for the bombings, but authorities have blamed the Pakistani Taliban for similar attacks across the country.

The latest attacks come days after Pakistani warplanes pounded militant hideouts in the North Waziristan tribal region bordering Afghanistan, killing 60. The military said those killed were militants. Locals said civilians also died.
