HERMOSILLO, Mexico (AP) - A Mexican official says investigators have identified the killer of Tomas Tovar Rascon, a U.S.-born singer of banda music known as "Tito Torbellino" who was shot to death in May at a restaurant in the border state of Sonora.
Sonora state Attorney General Carlos Navarro Sugich says Tovar Rascon's killer was named Carlos Montes Pacheco, and has since been killed himself. He says investigators haven't determined a motive in the 33-year-old singer's slaying.
Montes Pacheco died last week when he shot and killed a woman at a party and a police officer attending the same event then shot and killed him.
