LONDON (AP) - Police say a spectator has been arrested on the route of the Olympic men's cycling road race for a public order offense as the competitors passed by.

Surrey Police said Saturday in a statement that the 54-year-old was arrested for a breach of the peace in Leatherhead, about three-quarters of the way round the 250-kilometer route.

Officers did not specify exactly what the man is alleged to have done, but confirmed that the event was not disrupted by his actions.

They warned the public not to encroach onto the course when the women's race takes place Sunday.

Several hundred thousand people lined the route of the race, won by Kazakstan's Alexander Vinokourov.
