JERUSALEM (AP) - Five Palestinians are reported dead after protests in two West Bank towns over Israel's 18-day military operation in Gaza.
The mayor of one town says two people were killed there when clashes broke out after an Israeli motorist fired on protesters. Three people were killed in another town when clashes erupted between Israeli forces and Palestinian stone-throwers.
The West Bank has seen increasing unrest over Israel's ground operation in Gaza. Yesterday, thousands of Palestinians clashed with Israeli forces at a West Bank checkpoint and in east Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, Israel says its airstrikes have hit more than 80 sites in Gaza today, while militants fired 50 rockets at Israel.
