BEIRUT (AP) - Syrian activists say a bombing targeting an administrative building in a Damascus suburb has killed at least 31 government troops.
The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says the explosion Sunday night took place in the suburb of Harasta, northeast of the capital.
It says it is not clear what type of bomb was used, but that the force of the blast leveled the building.
There was no immediate confirmation from state media or Syrian officials. Both rarely comment on government casualties.
