Authorities say more than 40 women and children were killed in a fire at a wedding tent in Kuwait.
The official Kuwait News Agency quotes fire officials as saying 41 bodies have been recovered and some 76 people have been hospitalized with burns.
The country's Interior Ministry says the cause of the fire hasn't been determined. Authorities are having problems evacuating the injured because of relatives and onlookers.
Wedding parties in Kuwait are held separately for men and women.
Children attend the women's party.
One fire official says holding such parties in tents could be banned after today's fire.
