L'AQUILA, Rome (AP) - World leaders will call for a "balanced, comprehensive and ambitious conclusion" to the Doha round of trade
talks as they pledge to help developing countries through the economic crisis.
That's according to a draft statement on "Development and Africa" shown to the Associated Press on Wednesday by adevelopment lobby group source.
The Doha talks aimed at lowering trade tariffs and subsidies have been stalled for years.
The draft communique also says that combined official development assistance from the Group of Eight countries meeting here - and others - will reach $50 billion by 2010.
