A fire department official says at least eight people have been killed in the collapse of a three-story building in the Nigerian capital.

Sunday Pius, a survivor, says he was awoken at around 3 a.m. Sunday by a loud, frightening sound. He rushed outside only to realize the building was falling down. He says he helped pull out five bodies.
