Swine Flu Found in Germany

BERLIN (AP) - Bavaria's health ministry says the first case of
swine flu has been confirmed in Germany.

The ministry says Wednesday that the case was confirmed by the
Robert Koch Institute, Germany's national disease control center.

It says in a brief statement that the case involves a patient in
the Regensburg area, north of Munich. Further details are not
immediately available.

Britain and Spain already have confirmed cases of the disease,
which was first detected in Mexico and has now been found in
several other countries worldwide.
