Pakistan Troops Take Town

ISLAMABAD (AP) - Pakistan's army says troops sent to counter a
Taliban push toward the capital of Islamabad have taken a key town.

A military statement said troops flown in on helicopters secured
the main town in Buner district on Wednesday morning.

An army official said warplanes had first pounded Taliban
positions around the town of Dagger. No information was available
on casualties.
