LAS VEGAS (AP) - The White House is honoring a Nevada breast
cancer survivor for championing cancer awareness.

Delia Oliveri was invited to join a meeting at the White House Tuesday on fighting breast cancer.

She was recognized by the White House's "Champions for Change"
program.

Oliveri was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1983 and had a
mastectomy. She then was diagnosed in 1999 with chronic lymphocytic leukemia, which has no cure.

She is a longtime volunteer for the American Cancer Society.

The White House names a new champion each week.
