The Tacoma School District in Washington State has a sunscreen ban, because, according to district officials, so many additives in lotions and sunscreens cause allergic reaction in children. Students are not allowed to carry sunscreen in their backpacks, or reapply it without a doctor's note.
One student recently came home after a field day at school, extremely burned because teachers were not allowed to apply sunscreen.
The school district said it has to ban sunscreen because it's state law.
