Reno, NV - Seventh-graders in Washoe County who have not yet received their TDAP immunization (Tetanus Diphtheria, and Pertussis) will not be allowed to attend class on Monday. For many, this is the first day of school.
Saturday, a lot of families got that requirement out of the way when they attended a one-day immunization clinic at the Summit shopping center. It was put on by Immunize Nevada. The first-time event provided a walk-in opportunity for children who still needed their vaccines. TDAP shots were offered free of cost and other vaccines were available at low-cost.
If you have a seventh-grader in Washoe County who still needs to get his or her shot, there are more clinics that can provide them:
