RENO, NV - For the next month bartenders will be serving up Tealtinis to customers who want them at the Chocolate Bar.

“One girl came in last week and she was saying how her mom was affected by ovarian cancer and she said she was spreading it all over Facebook, Its nice cause it hit home. She was able to party and enjoy herself while helping a cause,” says Brittany Friedman with the Chocolate Bar.

The Beary Couture Ovarian Cancer Awareness Foundation approached the Chocolate Bar and asked if they could help raise money for Ovarian Cancer awareness and education..

Besides the Tealtinis you'll see a Tips For Teal jar at the bar..

You'll also see one of these tip jars at Daughter's Café.

The restaurant is not only collecting money this way but selling tickets to what hopes to be an annual picnic event event at Rancharrah on September 8th.

The owner says its all for Beary Couture Founder Cynthia Kennedy who is battling the disease.

“When we found out she was ill, we wanted to be involved in any way we could because she is just so full of life. She's a pleasure to know,” says Barb Giamonini with Daughter's.

Businesses from all over will be participating at the picnic at Rancharrah.

Silver Peak owner Dave Silverman says he's asked to get involved in a lot of causes, and he didn't hesitate to help out this one.

“ It's a first year. Its at Rancharrah.. It's got a lot of momentum already and I think its an event that will have years to come,” says Silverman.
