EL MONTE, Calif. (AP) - A Southern California company is recalling preserved fruit products that may contain high levels of lead.
CHO Fuku Group says it's recalling 5-ounce packages of Sanh Yuan Preserve Fruit-Preserved Plum.
The El Monte distributor says the Taiwanese product was found to have lead levels of up to .20 parts per million.
The company says children under 6 who eat the fruit could receive a lead dose 5 ½ times the daily recommendation.
