Preschoolers Affected Long-Term by Divorce

If parents divorce when their kids are preschool age, those children could be at risk for behavior problems.

That's according to new research by Georgetown University and the University of Chicago.

It says disruption during a child's first three years strongly influences their development.

Researchers analyzed nearly 35-hundred students.

The study's co-author says the behavior problems tend to happen with the move from a two-parent to a single parent household.

There didn't appear to be negative behaviors associated with going from a single-parent home to a blended family.
