Party In Pink to Raise Breast Cancer Awareness

zumba, exercise, breastcancer, pink

RENO, NV - Cherie Pinkham says she's been taking Zumba for three months now, like most enthusiasts here, its something she can stick with, and stay healthy all at the same time.

“You can put me in a gym for a month and I will stop. This I am addicted to,” says Cherie.

This Sunday, Cherie and what she hopes are hundreds of others will gather at the Grand Sierra Resorts Silver State Pavilion for a "Party In Pink" event to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Cherie's nails are even dressed up for the occasion.

“Breast cancer is something that is near and dear to my heart and many women in this community. And I wanted a way to give back using my skills and talent and it just a tremendous way for us to rally,” says Veronica Leserdink, the Zumba instructor that will help lead the event.

For a $10 dollar fee, you can get in on the fun this Sunday.

Veronica says there will be prizes, and even t-shirt shredding before the dancing begins.

Party in Pink starts at one Sunday Afternoon.
