RENO, NV - Circus Circus Reno is commending its security team, credited with saving an apparent heart attack victim.
According to a news release, on Wednesday, August 21, an elderly guest who was checking out of the hotel passed out. His heart and breathing had stopped from a possible heart attack. Circus Circus Reno security officers arrived and moved the guest from his car to the ground. They initiated CPR while summoning paramedics.
By the time the ambulance arrived, the man had started breathing again and had regained consciousness. He was taken to a hospital and is recovering.
Casino officials say Officers Mike Cook, Sandra Hoyle, Larry West, Russell Grovatt and Billy Keaton are to be commended for their calm professionalism and fearless actions that saved this man’s life.
