SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - A Northern California importer and distributor is recalling a candy from India because it is contaminated with lead.
The California Department of Public Health says tests that it conducted show the Santos Rewadi Sugar candy contained levels of lead that exceed the state's standards.
Santos Inc. of San Leandro is recalling the candy and health officials say they're working with the company to remove the candies from stores.
