GERLACH, NV - KOLO 8 News Now has learned nine mosquito traps near Gerlach have tested positive for the West Nile virus. It was believed six tested positive, but that number was upped Wednesday.
The Washoe County Health Department says anyone who attended Burning Man may have been exposed to the virus.
The WCHD also confirms one human case has been reported in Clark County. The person has not been identified and is in serious condition.
West Nile attacks the nervous system and the health department suggests wearing long sleeves and bug spray.
The virus has been found in Washoe, Clark, Mineral and Elko counties.
