RENO, NV - As summer break comes to an end, kids are preparing to go back to school. Some parents may start to wonder what immunizations their kids need before heading back to class.
If your child doesn't get his shot before the new school year starts, he may not be allowed to go back. Nevada Law requires certain immunizations for students in both public and private schools and for their immunization records be updated each year.
The Outlets at LEgends is hosting a Back to School Fair tomorrow form noon to 5 p.m. where Immunize Nevada and Amerigroup will offer free immunizations for children from ages 0 to 18. No ID or insurance is required. The vaccines will be given at a first come first serve basis.
Parents who do not have or can't find their child's immunization records can contact their local health provider or call the Nevada Web IZ Desk at (775) 684-5854 to request a copy.
Along with the free vaccinations, Legends will also feature a fashion show and a perfromance from X Factor's Chris Rene.
