Governor's Emergency Declaration May Prevent Break In Propane Delivery

Due to extreme winter weather conditions, Governor Sandoval has suspended the rules governing just how long propane transporters can stay behind the wheel. The action was taken to prevent a breakdown in propane being delivered to homes and even hospitals. Here in Nevada the governor can suspend such requirements when he determines there may be a threat the public welfare

Bullying of LGBTQ Teens Addressed at Workshop

A seminar in responding to bullying LGBTQ, or lesbian, gay, bisexual,transgender, or questioning teens, was held in Carson City Tuesday. The goal was to give parents and teens struggling with this issues, some tips on how to stop it.

Washoe County Schools Showcase Technology

Parent Leaders for Education, an education advocacy organization, showcased technologies being used in schools during a tour Tuesday. 'Technology Tuesday' was held at Clayton Middle School in Reno. Parent Leaders for Education said Clayton is the exception with interactive white boards, video conferencing and netbooks.
