Two-thousand people in need were expected to eat at the Safari Club International's wild game feed. The event is an annual tradition put on by the Safari Club, which holds meetings in Reno.

MLK Annual Caravan Honors Local Man As Well

Once again Monday, a convoy of cars left Northeast Reno's Second Baptist Church for a drive a portion of US-395. The caravan honored both the slain civil rights leader for which it is named, but a local man who fought for years for that designation.

Volunteers Mark MLK Day

Volunteers were busy sorting supplies at the Food Bank in Storey County Monday. Several people said they are volunteering to mark Martin Luther King Day. In the mid-90s congress designated the holiday as a day of service.
