Medical Funds Needed to Help Care for Injured Puppy

Stover, a stray puppy, was brought to Nevada Humane Society through Washoe County Regional Animal Services with a rare injury. The three-month-old miniature pinscher/chihuahua mix was found by a good Samaritan with both right legs broken, leading veterinary staff to believe Stover was hit by a car.

Caught On Video: Taggers Doing Their Worst

Taggers hit Idlewild Park early Sunday morning leaving 30 or more examples of their crime. A neighborhood resident witnessed it, recorded it and called police. It led to one arrest, a rare victory in the war against graffiti.

A story that one Northern Nevada woman needs more of these days. 30 years ago Thursday, Liza Ackerman-Stewart's son came up missing on this way to school. The last time she saw her son, Tony Franco, was when she laid out his clothes for school that morning. Stories like the one out of Cleveland where the 3 women were found nearly a decade bring about mixed emotions.
