RENO, NV - Are you quick at changing diapers?

The Nurturing Nest will be host to the Reno site of an international cloth diaper changing event happening on Saturday, April 26, 2014, the same week as Earth Day.

An official with the event says The Great Cloth Diaper Change is in its fourth year. With over 240 sites in 15 countries, the event will attempt to break last year's Guinness World Record of 8,301 babies changed at one time.

“Each year billions of disposable diapers enter landfills where it takes hundreds of years for them to decompose, if ever,” says Heather McNamara, Executive Director of the Real Diaper Association.

“Building off the success of last year’s event with qualifying locations in 15 countries, spread across 5 continents, we hope to show the entire world that cloth diapers are a real option for today’s modern families, particularly catching the eye of expecting and new parents who may be seeking more planet-friendly and affordable alternatives to disposable diapers.”

The event will take place at the Nurturing Nest at the 5301 Longley Lane, Suite A8, Reno.

In addition to the Great Cloth Diaper Change world-record attempt, there will also be a green family fair with various event booths with natural and green living companies, according to the event official.
