SPARKS, NV - Sparks police are looking for two men who may have tried to kidnap a woman Tuesday morning.

The Marvin Moss Elementary School employee tells police she was taking a walk on her lunch break shortly before noon on South D'Andrea at Dirienzo, just east of the school. She says two men got out of a vehicle across the street from where she was walking, and started walking toward her, starting a conversation.

She says one of the men followed as she walked away, and the other opened the rear hatch of the vehicle. The first man started running toward the woman, yelling at her to respond. Instead, she ran to the school, where police were called. She is not hurt.

She says the men are tall white or light-skinned Hispanics with dark hair. They were wearing black hoodies and light colored cargo-style pants. The vehicle is described as a white older model mid-sized SUV similar to a Ford Explorer or Chevy Blazer. The rear hatch on the vehicle opened in an upward direction.

Anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to call the Sparks Police Department at 775-353-2231, Sparks detectives at 775-353-2225 or Secret Witness at 775-322-4900.
