RENO, NV - A woman has died from injuries sustained when she was hit by a car in Lemmon Valley Monday night.

52-year-old Lesa Fisher of Reno was walking south on the edge of Lemmon Drive near Surge Street around 6PM. The driver of a Chevy Cobalt headed the same direction hit her, and she was hospitalized with severe head trauma. She died Wednesday morning at the hospital.

Deputies say the driver of the vehicle is cooperating with the investigation. At this time, driver alcohol use or speed do not appear to be factors in the accident and no charges have been filed.
