RENO, Nev. (AP) - Wheelchair rider hit by car dies from her injuries.
Seventy-nine-year-old Anastacia Redulla succumbed to her injuries at Renown after she was hit by a car Monday.
According to police, Redulla was found lying in the street around 5 p.m. on the 1600 block of Silverada Boulevard. Her motorized wheelchair was discovered nearby, pinned under a car.
Officials say it appears Redulla was riding her wheechair in the street when she was struck. They warn drivers to be especially watchful for pedestrians during sunrise and sunset hours, when visibility is bad.
The Reno Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s).
