Deputies say it began when Rios was at his mother and stepfather's house on Middle Fork Drive, in a rage for some reason. His stepfather apparently stabbed Rios in self-defense. At one point, the stepfather left the scene to remove himself from the dangerous situation.
Rios was arrested for two counts of domestic battery, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon interruption of a 9-1-1 call and destruction of property for smashing a car with a shovel.
Rios was taken to Renown Medical Center to be treated for his stab wounds, then taken to jail.
