WCSO Hands Out Hundreds of Citations During "Joining Forces" Event
RENO, Nev. -- Washoe County drivers are paying the price for hundreds of moving violations handed out last month.
From February 1st through the 19th, Washoe County Sheriff's deputies arrested three drivers for DUI, three wanted fugitives, and one person wanted on a felony charge.
In addition, they issued more than 300 citations for various offenses including speeding, cell phone use, license and registration violations, no proof of insurance, and seat-belt and operation violations.
Washoe County was just part of the "Joining Forces" event in which several law enforcement agencies worked together to stop impaired drivers and raise awareness of its dangers.
