RENO, NV - The Washoe County School District now has until October 15th to act in its case against WCSD Superintendent Pedro Martinez.
The motion for extension, filed by the district Tuesday, included several reasons and clarifications regarding Martinez's dismissal from his position. The district alleges it was mislead regarding the true extent of Martinez's past experience as a Certified Public Accountant.
Martinez filed an Amended Complaint on Monday and claims that the School Board violated Nevada Open Meeting Law when it stripped him of his responsibilities without proper notice..
