TRUCKEE, CA - Interstate 80 westbound and eastbound is back open after a Friday morning crash.
The California Highway Patrol says a Fed Ex truck driver headed east at the state line crashed and ruptured both fuel tanks Friday morning, spilling at least 100 gallons of gasoline onto the road.
Hazmat crews were on scene cleaning up, and that took several hours delaying traffic.
Westbound traffic was being held at Gold Ranch and eastbound traffic was open to only one lane into Reno for most of the day Friday.
No one is hurt and the CHP says it appears the driver crashed after he swerved to avoid a deer in the road.
