RENO, Nev. -- Volunteers pitched in to help their fellow man with a little hard work on a hot day.

A northern Nevada company helped Truckee Meadows Habitat for Humanity restore an older home in west Reno Saturday.

Volunteers with Torch-mate donated their time to help get the home in shape for a deserving family. There's still a lot of work to be done, but pros with Habitat say the volunteers are a huge help.

Construction manager Mark Ruzicka said they made good progress, "We're painting the exterior. We cut all the posts for the front rail... the volunteers, they're such hard workers, and we have a lot of fun and get a lot done."

They hope to finish the home within the next few months.
