INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. (AP) - The U.S. Forest Service says residents and visitors to Lake Tahoe's east shore should expect to see smoke from prescribed fire operations near Logan Shoals beginning on Wednesday.
Fuels management crews intend to burn about two acres, weather permitting.
About 10 acres of prescribes burns also are planned later this week on Spooner Summit near U.S. Highway 50.
Forest Service officials say smoke-sensitive residents should consider staying indoors and keeping doors, windows and outside vents closed.
