Two Suspects Arrested for Paradise Park Shooting

RENO, NV - Two males have been arrested in connection with last week's shooting at Paradise Park.

Both suspects are juveniles but one of them, Kupaa Kea, has been okayed to stand trial as an adult. Kea was booked into the Washoe County Jail.

The other suspect is expected to also be cleared as an adult, and was booked into Jan Evans juvenile detention. So as of now his name isn't being released.

Kea was charged with two counts of battery with a deadly weapon, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and gang enhancement: a crime to help promote a gang.

The other suspect was charged with one count of battery with a deadly weapon, and gang enhancement: a crime to help promote a gang.

Both suspects are part of a local gang and police say this shooting was gang-related.
