RENO, NV - Foothill Road is back open at South Virginia Street, now that a search has been called off for a car thief.

Deputies are looking for the man who stole a car from a driveway in the Zolezzi area. They say the man is white and about 30 years old with a medium build and shaved head. He had a black knit cap and gray hoodie. The car had been warming up in the driveway, and the owner got into another car and chased him briefly.

Precautionary lockdowns at Lenz and Piccolo Elementary and Manogue High have been lifted.

Deputies say they believe the suspect has left the main search area, but they are following several leads.
