RENO, Nev. -- Police officers confiscated about 30 pounds of marijuana from a growing operation in a Truckee neighborhood.

It happened while officers where looking into a suspicious person in the Sierra Meadows area. During the investigation, officers contacted a male at his home and found a grow operation and already-packaged marijuana.

Officers say the pot was divided into one-pound and half-pound bags. They estimate it has a minimum street value of $75,000.

One person was arrested and officers are investigating other potential suspects.

Truckee Police Department officials emphasized they are "committed to protecting our community, and particularly our kids, from drugs."
